It’s Monday morning and there’s a young Russian woman in a neon orange bikini and high heels flexing her glutes outside our office window.
Let’s just say that the Pacific54 headquarters is a hotbed of photographic activity, so I asked if I could take a couple of pictures for this blog and the lady in charge practically Kremlin’d me. She had an accent like Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle, and I didn’t know if she would smile and say yes, or smile and snap my neck. Luckily, she said ‘yes, sure,’ and was very nice about it all.
Something about the clean black and white lines of the ‘Zebra Building’ in Wynwood attracts models and photographers from around the world here everyday. And we are so inspired by the frequency and variety of these photo-shoots, which range from calendars to quinces, wedding photos, lowrider magazines, burlesque art, street yoga, and high fashion, that we started documenting them through our “Just Another Day In Wynwood” photo series.
Today, it’s a Russian fitness model, tomorrow, who knows. But no matter what happens, we’ll be right here to capture it as it occurs and bring it to you faster than anyone else. Thanks for reading!
