1. Search Engine Land: Google Releases a New Version of Google Ads Editor
If you’ve ever wished that Google Ads Editors had more capabilities and features, you’ll definitely appreciate this new update. 2. Social Media Today: Twitter’s Live Testing of its New Audio “Spaces” Feature
Twitter recently launched a beta version of its audio-only meetings feature, and a small group of users are the first to try it out. The concept of audio Spaces is that users can create virtual rooms, where their connections can join and listen or join in on the conversation. When a meeting is happening, the user’s Fleets icons will be highlighted in purple, and you’ll be able to see who’s participating. To learn more, read the full article by Social Media Today.
3. Marketing Dive: Snap is Teaming Up With Unity to Expand Reach for Marketers
In other PPC news, if you’re a marketer that advertises on the Snap Audience Network, you’ll now be able to access Unity Ads’ inventory. Unity Ads is an ad monetization platform for Unity-based mobile games, where game developers can show ads and monetize their player base. Likewise, game designers will be able to access a collection of Snap’s software development kits to incorporate features from Snapchat. 4. The Verge: Reddit Acquires TikTok Rival Dubsmash
Reddit recently purchased Dubsmash, a short-form video platform that’s in many ways similar to TikTok. While the platform will exist separately from Reddit and keep its brand, it will now be integrated into Reddit as well. What does this mean for both platforms? The idea is to create a unique user experience by combining the community aspect of Reddit with the creative element of Dubmash. 5. Wall Street Journal: LinkedIn Has Begun Testing Ads in Its Stories
LinkedIn added a “stories” feature to their platform not too long ago, giving users more ways to interact with their network. The social networking platform is now experimenting with adding ads to this feature in Latin American and European markets to understand better how people respond to it. This could provide a unique opportunity for marketers to reach a different audience – especially if they’re looking to advertise to professionals.
